A little more about us
Ricardo Da Silva
With 19 years plus experience in the financial sector, I have the unique quality of being a Portuguese and British national. I am qualified in Financial Planning in the UK.
My qualifications and experience in financial Planning and Wealth management are extensive. I am also a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Institute of insurance.
I have been granted EFPA European Financial Adviser™ certification. With the uncertainties of Brexit causing confusion for many in the UK advice sector, helping ensure that consumers who wish to access advice from UK advisers, or maintain existing relationships in a post-Brexit environment.
I am also qualified for activity 11, the qualification that meets FCA Pension Transfer Specialist standards. I hold the certificate in Pension Transfers and Planning Advice.
Having married a Yorkshire "lass", I soon found out that I wasn't in charge!! and therefore we have decided to establish home in East Yorkshire where we live with our 3 children for the last 20 years plus.
In my free time, I spend most of my time with my family. I love spending time with the children to ensure that we grow together as a family maintaining, some of the old fashion values in line with the 21st century.
Due to bringing up a child with disabilities, I have a keen interest in trusts to ensure that the life assurance, the savings which I accumulate and intend to leave to my family, would not be taken away by the local authorities. I want to ensure that they don't remove any help or support when me and my wife are not here in this land. Planning ahead is an essential part of the financial success, for a better life for me and my wife in retirement and for my children.

With over 10 years' experience working for 2 well known building society's in Hull and Beverley, I acquired extensive experience in Mortgages, Life Insurances and Protection. I had a career break to allow me to look after my 2 young children.
Over recent years I qualified as a Teaching Assistant, and began working in the local primary school, which my children attended.
I joined Linkage Financial Solutions, as mortgages and life protection have always been my strength. I am very organised, with an eye for detail and small print, which is extremely important when choosing the right product to finance your residential or commercial property. Taking into account the huge number of products offered in the whole of the market, working with Linkage Financial Solutions enables me to research mortgage products which are not offered directly to the public, and can represent big savings during the term of the loan.
I worked with Ricardo many years ago and he always showed integrity and professionalism with colleagues and customers alike, therefore this was an opportunity that I could not refuse, enabling me to return to mortgage advising.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance and I hold qualifications in Mortgage and Protection advice.
I am now intending to progress my knowledge and obtain the Life Time Mortgage qualification to add to my career portfolio.
I have grown up in Beverley and I am married to Mark and we have 2 children aged 13 and 8.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family.
